Wedding Sweet

Hi there! Boy has this been a whirlwind week! Kids in school and tons of homework... not for them, but for me! What's that all about?? Seems to me we could use some paper conservation here. Lucky for me that I was actually ahead of schedule for once. I really do try to look ahead and plan accordingly. And it's amazing that I can do that in certain things, but usually not here at home and not often with stamping. But this time I used my Labor Day to, well, "labor" - more like a labor of love. Instead of doing any one of the many household tasks that need to be done, I spent all day stamping!!! It was such a great day!!! I emptied lots of past project boxes and now I have bunches of cards sitting here ready to be used (of course, the trick is to actually use them). I also worked on the swap that I needed for my upline meeting last night. It was so refreshing to come home from work yesterday and know that I was all ready to go, especially with the mounds of homework that my three children brought me.

So, here it is... I just received the Wedding Sweet stamp set and in keeping with my resolve of getting those stamp sets mounted right away (for ease of actually using them), I did just that, so low and behold my stamp set was on the shelf just waiting to be used. I have seen a few projects made with this frilly flower and my mind was swirling with ideas. I was also thinking about how much I love black and white cards and I wanted to be able to use our new Shimmer Paint. This was a very simple card to do. Ready...

  1. Stamp the frilly flower onto a 4-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink. Using a Sponge Dauber, dab the Platinum Shimmer Paint very lightly onto flowers. Be sure to dab onto your scratch paper first so that your dauber isn't heavily coated with paint.
  2. Using the Big Shot, the Movers & Shapers Die and the Modern Label Punch Window, punch out the Modern Label using a scrap of Basic Black cardstock.
  3. Stamp the "Congratulations" in Basic Black ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Punch out using the Modern Label Punch. Mount onto the Basic Black Modern Label.
  4. Mount flower onto 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Brushed Silver cardstock.
  5. Tie Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the Brushed Silver cardstock. Mount onto Basic Black card.
  6. Mount Modern Label onto card using Dimensionals.
Enjoy!! Until next time...
