The second project from Dive 'N2 Stampin' was this card using Nature Silhouettes. When I first saw this stamp set in the Fall-Winter 2008 IB&C I just knew that I had to have it. I love the images, but the sentiment just hit home with me. This is a very masculine card which is always hard for me to come up with.
For this card, I used the Poppin' Pastels Technique. So, so simple!! Stamp your image using VersaMark ink. Color in using Stampin' Pastels and a cotton ball in a very gentle circular motion. You don't want to rub the image, just apply the color gently. I love this technique because you can shade your image adding color on top of another color. I used Chocolate Chip for the tree and Old Olive for the leaves and grass. The I shaded the grass by adding Garden Green here and there over the Old Olive. Love it!! The rest of this card is a snap. Stamp the words in Chocolate Chip and the deer in Chocolate Chip, stamping off first. Layer your card and voila - you're done. Enjoy!! Check back tomorrow for another project. Until then... happy stamping!!
