On January 3, we started off the year with the newly named "Dive 'N2 Stampin'" Workshop. We did four projects that I just fell in love with. Over the next few days I'll share those projects with you.
The first is this cute little Valentine's Treat Bag using the Bigz Top Note Die from Stampin' Up! It always amazes me to see the different ways to use products. For this bag, I used Real Red, Pink Pirouette Textured and Whisper White cardstock and the Love You Much Valentine's Bundle that we've been talking so much about over this last week. Cut out two Real Red Top Notes with the Big Shot. Now, take the 1/2" strip of Whisper White cardstock and line it up on the Top Note Die just below the side points. Make sure that your cardstock is the long way on the die. Run this through the Big Shot. Use the three hearts stamp to create a background in Real Red ink. Stamp the scallop on Pink Pirouette Textured cardstock and punch it out with the Scallop Circle Punch. Take your 1/8" punch and punch out the circles in the scallops. Don't worry this is easy because the circles are already there for you to follow. Use the Heart to Heart Punch and your scrap from the Top Note Die and punch out just the small heart. Glue that to your pink scallop. Stamp the little circles from Itty Bitty Backgrounds along the Whisper White strip, stamping off first. I had to use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get those words lined up right. I'm not that into winging it anymore. I love my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig!! Now for the bag, I used the small paper sacks from the local craft store. Cut from the bottom at 2-1/2". Save the top of the bag because I have a project that I'll share with you later this month using that "scrap". Use Snail Adhesive to adhere the bag to the inside of the Top Notes. Punch the Large Oval for the handle and adhere the Whisper White strip to the front. Use Dimensionals to pop the scallop up over the white strip.
There you have it - a cute little Valentine's Treat Bag. What better gift can you give someone than CHOCOLATE!!! And to package it so adorably! I hope you enjoy making this project! Until next time... happy stamping!!!
