"You're Hot Stuff" Monthly Workshop

This past weekend we had our monthly stamp camp. The theme of this stamp camp was "You're Hot Stuff". We had so much fun playing with the new products.

Card # 1: Kiwi Inspired

The first thing you need to do it stamp the grass in VersaMark ink onto the Kiwi Kiss cardstock (one of our new In Colors). Then ink the flower stamp in Chocolate Chip ink. Stamp off and then stamp down over top of the grass. Make sure that you go off the cardstock a little at the bottom. I found that since this is such a large stamp that it's actually easier to stamp it sideways instead of lengthwise. Mount onto your Chocolate Chip card.

Stamp the words in Chocolate Chip on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock. Punch out using the Key Tag Punch. Distress the edges using the distresser tool from the Cutter Kit. Sponge Kiwi Kiss ink around the edges. Mount onto your card using Dimensionals.

Card #2: Heard the Blooms

First ink up the small bloom stamp from the Eastern Blooms stamp set with Pink Pirouette ink (another of our new In Colors). Stamp it onto the Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the words over the blooms in Chocolate Chip ink. Use the Scallop Edge punch to punch the Pink Pirouette cardstock. Mount to the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock. Trim the edges. Using the Direct to Paper method, ink the three remaining sides of the Whisper White cardstock. Mount the white flower background paper from the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper pack onto the Pink Pirouette card. Mount the Chocolate Chip dotted background paper onto the card overlapping the flower background. Mount the focal point to the card using Dimensionals.

Card #3: Flighty Difference

First stamp the bold butterfly image with Apricot Appeal two times onto your Whisper White cardstock. I stamped mine slightly off so that I didn't have to worry about trying to get them exactly straight!! Use your Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the flower butterfly on top of the bold butterfly in Tangerine Tango ink. Again using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the dotted butterfly outline in Basic Black ink, this time moving it slightly to the right so that you can see the shadow of Tangerine Tango on the butterfly's body. Mount onto the Basic Black cardstock.

Stamp the small flower from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set onto the Apricot Appeal cardstock in Apricot Appeal ink. This is tone on tone stamping and gives you a very subtle background. Mount to the Tangerine Tango card. Slip the Black Hemp Twine onto the Mini Library Clip, tie in a knot and attach to the Basic Black piece. Mount to the card using Dimensionals. Stamp the words in Basic Black ink on the bottom right of the card. Use the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to make a dotted flight path for your butterfly.

Card #4: Bella Dreams

Wheel the Stems & Silhouettes Jumbo wheel down the left side of your Riding Hood Red card (ta-da, another new In Color). Stamp the Dreams stamp onto the Whisper White cardstock in Riding Hood Red ink. Use your Blender Pen to color in the flowers, pulling the color from the stamped image. Mount onto the Kiwi Kiss cardstock square, then to the Riding Hood Red square. Mount the flowered background paper from the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper to the Kiwi Kiss cardstock, then onto the Riding Hood Red card. Mount the Dreams image to the card using Dimensionals. Stamp the words in Basic Black in the right-hand corner of the card. Tie the Linen Thread into a knot through the Riding Hood Red button and attach with a Dimensional.

The September Stamp Camp will focus on some advanced techniques. There is a $5.00 fee for this class which is waived with a $30.00 purchase. Please email me to reserve your spot.
